Hi,

Firstly[edit]

After reading your response, i would ask that you DO NOT upload your videos for now, as much as i was excited when you've joined, i think it'd be unethical to encourage you to contribute at this point. A little while ago i have actually lost a job that i rather liked because some people have found this site and linked me with it. If you believe that your safety will be compromised by uploading the videos and you think that taking the videos down will help, then you do not understand the way internet works, and it will be absolutely wrong for you to do that. Taking contributions down will not help the safety, and until you understand that you should stay clear of uploading.

Also the content that is uploaded here is mirrored to Freenet network. And there is no way to delete it from there. It can only disappear if it becomes unpopular there.

Please look at Freedom Porn:deletion and at Special:Log/delete for the way we've been operating so far.

Secondly[edit]

There is, however, something that i have been working on, that can potentially make the whole thing easier. The idea is that there would be a way to upload some content, but for it to be unavailable to anybody until some future date. The way i envision it would be something along the lines of a dead-men switch. You would upload your material, and every year or so you would receive an email, if you respond to this e-mail then nothing would be released, if you don't respond for some time (lets say one year) then it would become available.

In a way it is intended to only release the media after the person who has made it dies. For many people it will be the best possible solution, since it will allow them to contribute but yet they will not have to face the bigotry associated with contributing sexual content.

Thirdly[edit]

If you wish i could make you an administrator of the Mediawiki, so that you can have a look around and see what you can make better. Just please don't break anything. q;-)= We do have backups, but i don't want to spend time restoring stuff.

Firstly, I have a very thorough understanding of how the internet works. I have worked for technology companies, have released porn before, have modeled, and have even had had meetings with the W3C and other organizations that help shape the web. I understand that once a copy has been made, there is little that can be done to totally recall something. That does not mean that measures cannot be taken to reduce the amount of attention gathered through certain channels. It is about personal choice and control and autonomy in trusted spaces, not about having total dominion over the web.

Secondly, that seems like an interesting idea that could have other use-cases probably moreso than this site. I could see that being a social app, a betting system, an insurance system, or a motivational platform.

Thirdly, I would be happy to be an admin and help cleanup, but there's probably very little I can do through MediaWiki itself. I could reorganize the wiki a bit, but to do anything significant it would probably require server access.
